Centre County's Outstanding Young Women program, past finalists, and
Board members will be visiting area High Schools to discuss the
Outstanding Young Women Program and Preliminary/Application process.

APPLICATIONS FOR 2011 OYW PROGRAM:
Applications are now being accepted for the 2011 OYW
Program. All applications must be postmarked no
later than March 10, 2010. Send completed applications to Julia

PRELIMINARIES:
Preliminaries for the 2011 OYW Program will be held on
Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Park Forest Middle School
in State College. The preliminary schedule will be
determined and distributed to applicants by Monday, March 15th.
For preliminaries, you will be required to attend an 8 minute interview
before a panel of 5 judges and do a performing arts presentation (2
minutes or less in length) before a panel of 5 judges. For

OYW ORIENTATION:
The OYW Orientation will be held in April. The
date, time, and location of this event will announced soon.
Attendance at the Orientation is required for all girls chosen as
finalists for the 2011 Program. This is an opportunity for the
finalists and their parents to meet each other, meet the volunteers
involved with the Centre County OYW program and learn more about the
program. The finalists and parents will rotate in small groups to
hear presentations on Judging, Photos, Big Sisters, Talent, etc... and
will be given detailed information on events and practice schedules.
2011 CENTRE COUNTY OUTSTANDING YOUNG WOMAN SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM:
The 2011 Centre County OYW Scholarship Program will be
held on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 7pm. The event location will
be announced soon.
